Assistant Manager – Join the Team at The Queensland Hotel
The Queensland Hotel is looking for an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Assistant Manager to join our team.
This is an on-the-floor leadership role, so we're looking for someone who enjoys leading by example, working alongside the team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
You'll be actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the venue.
About the Role
As our Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in the daily operations of the hotel, overseeing all areas of the business, including gaming, bar, food & beverage, and customer service.
You'll lead the team from the floor, ensure compliance with industry legislation, and help create a positive and welcoming environment for both our customers and staff.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years' hospitality management experience, with strong exposure to gaming, Keno, bar, and food & beverage operations
Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar leadership role
A thorough understanding of liquor, gaming, and hospitality legislation




Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution skills
Exceptional cash handling skills and attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced workplace
Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
Essential Qualifications
Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
Current RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling)
Current RMLV (Responsible Management of Licensed Venues)
Current Approved Manager's Licence
Current First Aid Certificate (preferred but not essential)
