Superstock Food Services is one of Western Australia's leading independent foodservice distributors, supplying restaurants, cafés, hospitals, aged care facilities, schools and major hospitality venues throughout Western Australia.
We are seeking an experienced and motivatedNight Warehouse Supervisorto lead our night shift operation.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring every customer order is accurately picked, processed and prepared for dispatch while leading a team of approximately 12 Voice Pick Packers.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of our night warehouse operation.
Your focus will be on ensuring all customer orders are picked accurately, delivery runs are completed, invoiced and prepared for transport and closing of the DC before the morning dispatch team arrives.
As the senior person on site during the night shift, you will also be responsible for ensuring the warehouse is secured and locked down at the completion of each shift.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach and motivate a team of approximately 12 warehouse Voice Pick Packers.
Ensure all customer orders are picked accurately and completed within required timeframes.
Ensure all delivery runs are completed and ready for dispatch.
Complete invoicing for all customer runs.
Prepare transport labels, freight paperwork and transport bookings.
Monitor picking accuracy, productivity and labor efficiency.
Train, mentor and develop warehouse employees.
Recruit, interview and onboard casual and permanent warehouse staff.
Prepare and manage employee rosters.
Conduct performance management, coaching and disciplinary discussions where required.
Maintain high standards of workplace safety, food safety and housekeeping.
Work closely with the Transport,
Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure seamless daily operations.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Secure the warehouse at the completion of each shift, ensuring all doors, alarms and site security procedures are completed before leaving.
Provide regular updates and operational reporting to the General Manager.
About You
You are an experienced warehouse leader who enjoys leading from the front and thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience supervising a warehouse team, preferably within foodservice, FMCG or logistics.
Current High Risk Work License (LF) with proven High Reach Forklift experience.
Experience using Voice Picking systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
A strong commitment to workplace safety and team development.
Current National Police Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
Desirable
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Experience within a foodservice or cold storage warehouse.
First Aid Certificate.
