The Medical Imaging Department at Alice Springs Hospital operates 24-hours and provides emergency, intra-operative and general x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, Bone Densitometry, mammography and fluoroscopy.
As aRadiographer at ASH, your primary objective is to provide high-quality diagnostic services to patients of Alice Springs Hospital, the Central Area Services Network, Community Health Centres and private practitioners as requested.
Working with a team of medical professionals and modern equipment, you will perform diagnostic examinations, identify complex or unusual pathology and ensure the most appropriate high-quality imaging is performed.
In co-operation with the Senior Radiographers, you will provide leadership, supervision and mentorship to junior staff, ensuring adherence to standard work practices.
In addition, you will contribute to clinical activity, perform patient registrations and participate in the team's shift and on-call rosters.
To be successful you require a qualification that allows registration with AHPRA as a Medical Radiation Practitioner.




Demonstrated experience in various fields of Radiography with the ability to perform general, trauma and dental radiography, experience in CT and fluoroscopy/ angiography is desirable.
Sound knowledge and understanding of all facets of Medical Imaging is essential.
