As a Senior C# Game Programmer, you will utilize a custom framework to build deep gameplay and core game systems, leveraging advanced C# features for maximum scale, performance, and control.
You will rapidly prototype game systems, continuously adapt code based on designer and player feedback, and test, debug, and profile code to polish the overall experience.
This role is highly collaborative: you will work closely with the core programming team, provide feedback to internal tools teams to improve development workflows, and engage directly with the player community on forums and Discord.
Daily tools include JetBrains Rider, GitHub, and GitHub Copilot.
What You Bring - Key Skills & Traits Essential
8+ years of professional software development or games industry experience




Experience working on open-world, simulation-based or systems-driven games
Extensive, deep experience in C# software development (including advanced language features)
Proven track record of working collaboratively and effectively within a programming team
A tertiary qualification (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar) or equivalent practical industry experience
Available to relocate to Auckland, New Zealand
Desirable
Experience with various graphics APIs or commercial game engines
Familiarity with C++
A published game title or a strong unpublished portfolio of personal game projects
A genuine interest in engaging with players and building community-driven games
