The Organisation
Western District Health Service (WDHS) is a progressive and highly regarded Sub Regional Health Service delivering Acute, Aged Care, Community Health, and Allied Health services across Victoria's South-West.Following the recent merger of Western District Health Service and Casterton Memorial Hospital, WDHS has entered a significant new phase of growth and transformation, creating a stronger and more integrated regional health service with an expanded footprint and enhanced capacity to deliver sustainable healthcare outcomes for the communities of the Southern Grampians and Glenelg regions.

As the organisation continues to evolve and realise the opportunities created through integration, WDHS is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Manager Finance Systems & Reporting to lead the ongoing development and optimisation of financial systems, reporting frameworks and business intelligence capability across the organisation.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Manager Finance Systems & Reporting will play a pivotal role in ensuring WDHS has robust financial systems, accurate reporting and meaningful financial insights to support informed decision-making.
This newly created leadership role will oversee financial reporting, financial systems governance and data integrity while driving continuous improvement initiatives that support operational efficiency, compliance and organisational performance.
Working closely with finance and operational leaders, you will play a key role in strengthening reporting capability,



enhancing access to timely and accurate financial information, and supporting the successful integration of financial systems and processes across the expanded health service.
In addition, you will provide leadership and oversight to a dedicated team of senior accountants and finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement to deliver high-quality financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead management, optimisation and governance of finance systems and reporting platforms.
Ensure the timely delivery of accurate financial, statutory and management reporting.
Maintain financial data integrity and reporting compliance.
Support budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting processes.
Develop and enhance reporting frameworks, dashboards and business intelligence capability.
Drive financial systems improvements and process automation initiatives.
Partner with stakeholders to improve financial insight and decision-making.
Support audit, compliance and governance requirements.
Provide leadership and technical guidance to finance team members and key stakeholders.
The Ideal Candidate
You are a technically strong finance professional with a passion for systems, reporting and continuous improvement.
You enjoy solving complex problems, improving processes and translating financial data into meaningful insights.You will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.




CPA or CA qualification (or substantial progress towards completion).
Demonstrated experience in financial systems, management reporting and financial analysis.
Experience working within a complex or highly regulated workplace, ideally healthcare, government or the public sector.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems, reporting tools and financial data governance.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
A collaborative approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
