About the role
J&S; Pergola Installations is seeking a reliable and hardworkingYard Hand/Delivery Driverto join our team on acasual basis.
Based in Salisbury South, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has a keen interest in the trades and services industry.
You will be responsible for maintaining our yard operations and delivering materials to customers across the region.
This position offers flexibility and variety, combining small scale warehouse management with customer-facing delivery responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
Organising, storing and maintaining materials and equipment within the yard to ensure efficiency and safety
Loading and unloading building materials onto delivery vehicles
Operating delivery vehicles to transport materials to customer locations
Assisting with the preparation of orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Performing basic maintenance and cleaning of the yard and equipment
Supporting installation teams with material handling and logistical requirements on-site, including the collection and disposal of job hard waste.
Assisting construction teams on site with laboring duties when required.
Painting of materials at the yard prior to delivery when required.
Adhering to health and safety protocols and best practices at all times
What we're looking for
A current, valid driving license with a clean driving record
A current, valid driving high risk forklift license would be favorable
Experience in driving manual vehicles and towing trailers
Physical fitness and capability to lift heavy materials regularly
Experience in yard work, warehousing, or similar labouring roles
Reliability and punctuality, with a robust work ethic
Good communication and customer service skills for delivery interactions
Ability to follow health and safety procedures and take responsibility for workplace safety
Organisational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks as required
Experience with the trades or construction industry would be advantageous
