Who we are looking for:
A Senior Level Hydrogeologist (7+ years' experience) with broad hydrogeological experience, including experience in geology and/or groundwater, with the ability to accurately determine and define technical scopes and objectives.
Demonstrated experience in a consulting role resourcing project needs to achieve objectives, with the ability to manage resources effectively and efficiently to support task and project delivery.
Project management experience is desirable but not essential.
Clear experience and understanding of competitive proposal writing will be considered beneficial.
The ability to prepare and monitor budgets and project progress in line with scope of works and resource requirements, while supporting senior project managers where required.
Excellent communication skills, able to track and report project progress on a consistent basis to various stakeholders, considering strategy, scope changes, and progress.
Utilise industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the project life cycle to ensure technically excellent outcomes.
Excellent analytic skills and the ability to write concise technical reports.
Demonstrated experience in developing robust hydrogeological conceptualisations to support groundwater baseline studies, impacts, and/or management is essential.
Experience in completing environmental impact assessments and a firm understanding of risk assessments.
Knowledge or exposure to GDE assessments and remote sensing techniques will also be considered highly favourable.
Experience or familiarity with Leapfrog and other geological or spatial software packages will be highly regarded.
Understanding of groundwater modelling fundamentals and the ability to interpret model outputs is an advantage.
A bachelor's or honours degree-level qualification in geology, environmental science or a related discipline, with a focus on geology and/or hydrogeology.
A Master's or PhD in hydrogeology, water science or a similar field is highly regarded.
Full legal working rights in Australia and C Class Licence.
