Fleet Maintenance Coordinator
As our fleet continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day planning and coordination of our Fleet Maintenance outside of WA.
The Opportunity
Please note that this is not a traditional administration role.
We're looking for someone who understands heavy equipment, knows how the transport & logistics industry operates and can keep multiple moving parts under control.
Working alongside our workshop team, you'll be responsible for coordinating servicing, repairs and maintenance across GKR's out of state fleet.
You'll be dealing with mechanics, suppliers, dealerships and operational teams every day, balancing competing priorities while ensuring plant downtime is kept to a minimum.

Responsibilities
Plan and schedule servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance, with sub-contractor repairs & supplier's across GKR Transport's fleet
Authorise repairs (within budget) before starting work & Raise purchase orders
Coordinate repairs with GKR operational team in each State.
Liaise with dealerships, suppliers and subcontract repairers to ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
Negotiate pricing and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Track outstanding repairs and minimise equipment downtime.
Maintain accurate maintenance records
Coordinate external servicing, warranty work and specialist repairs.
Manage fleet licensing & Vehicle defect notices across all states.
About You




We're looking for someone who already understands how a busy heavy vehicle or earthmoving business operates.
You'll likely come from a background as a:
Fleet Maintenance Coordinator
Workshop Controller
Service Advisor
Service Manager
Fleet Planner
Workshop Scheduler
To be successful you'll have:
Minimum 5 years' experience coordinating maintenance within the heavy vehicle, or civil construction industry.
Robust understanding of truck equipment maintenance.
Experience raising purchase orders and coordinating procurement.
Established relationships with suppliers, dealerships and repairers.
Ability to prioritise competing maintenance demands.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong computer skills and confidence learning internal systems.
A trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic will be highly regarded but is not essential.
