About the Centre
Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre is part of theBoroondara Leisure Facilitiesand is managed byYMCA Victoria.
Running a variety offitnessprograms to support your journey to a healthier lifestyle.
Its home to five pools; an outdoor 25m Pool, Indoor 25m Pool, Hydrotherapy Pool, 2 spas, a toddler pool with a feature play slide and a sauna.
Ashburton also has 2 basketball courts, a gym, creche and a café.
About the role
As a Duty Manager at Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre, you will have delegated authority of the Centre Manager, and will maintain a broad knowledge of centre programs and services whilst at the same time managing a range of centre functions whilst on shift which may include;
Maintaining a focus on 'Big Picture' issues Centre wide
Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of Centre's Emergency Action Plan
Working autonomously as well as being an active leader
This is a casual position and the hourly rate is up to $***** + superannuation + Y benefits.

As a Duty Manager you will act as positive role model in an effort to build strong people, robust families and strong communities, as well as identifying potential risk factors and taking steps to reduce those risks.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills,



a positive attitude and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and all facility users.
Essential Qualifications
Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate
HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
Other Desired Qualifications or Knowledge
Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Legislation is an advantage
Previous experience in a similar facility in a supervisory role is desirable
