### ? Key Responsibilities (What You'll Do)
You will take hands-on ownership of a diverse portfolio spanning residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects,



managing the certification lifecycle from initial concept through to final occupancy.
? Site Inspections & Field Work:Conduct thorough, confident on-site inspections at mandatory and critical stages of construction across various residential and commercial builds.
Ensure all physical works accurately reflect approved documentation, NCC standards, and statutory requirements.
?️ Defect & Compliance Reporting:Issue clear, actionable inspection reports and work collaboratively with builders on-site to resolve compliance issues or defects.
?️ Assessment & Certification:Assess building plans and project documentation, preparing thorough compliance assessments and consent recommendations for efficient approval (final sign-off by the MD).
? Regulatory Advice:Provide clear, highly detailed, and accurate technical advice to designers, developers, and builders regarding the development regulatory process, the National Construction Code (NCC), and thePDI Act ****.
? Occupancy Processes:Inspect completed buildings to support occupancy approvals and manage outstanding matters for existing structures.
? Mentorship:Act as a technical soundboard within our cohesive team, providing guidance on complex compliance and in office regulatory matters.




### ✅ What We Are Looking For
? Proven Experience:Significant previous experience working as a Building Certifier or Building Surveyor acrossboth commercial and residential projects, with a strong track record of conducting in office inspections at critical stages.
? Deep Technical Knowledge:Exceptional understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC) and strong familiarity with South Australian legislation, including thePDI Act ****.
? Level 1 Qualifications:You must hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying (or a related discipline) thatenable future registration as a Level 1 Building Certifierin accordance with PlanSA accreditation requirements.
?️ Communication Skills:The ability to break down complex compliance requirements into practical, easy-to-understand advice, whether you are in the boardroom or out on a construction site.
? Problem-Solving Mindset:A proactive approach to finding innovative, compliant solutions rather than just ticking boxes.
? Mobility:A current, valid driver's licence for travel to and from inspection sites.
