We are seeking applications from experienced Architects and Architectural/Senior Architectural Technicians based in Townsville, or from those who are willing to relocate.

Architect - Responsibilities
Design and Technical:
Development of innovative and appropriate design solutions in accordance with the client brief and budget.
Establishment and communication of project goals and timelines to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
When appropriate, management of project team:
to develop and deliver accurate documentation throughout all project phases in accordance with project timeframes;
ensuring adherence and application of the BCA and applicable standards on all projects.
Effective coordination and management of consultant input and documentation.
Effective management of the contract administration phase of projects on both traditional and non-traditional projects.
Adopt and implement all company procedures, policies and systems.
Project Financial Management:
Awareness of the management of projects through effective program planning, team involvement, timeframes contributing to project profitability.
Awareness of project invoicing ensuring this is maintained on a monthly basis.
Business Development:
Development and maintenance of strong client and consultant relationships.
Architect - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Qualifications:
Masters in Architecture (or equivalent)
Registration with the Board of Architects of Queensland
Moderate industry experience
Technical:
Good understanding of design principles and the design process
Strong design and project management skills
High level ability to develop and interpret client briefs
High level working knowledge and understanding of documentation standards and construction methods
High level graphic communication skills
Good presentation skills
High level ability to correctly interpret consultant documentation
High level working knowledge of REVIT and Auto CAD
Qualities:
Reliable with a high level of integrity and professional approach to responsibilities;
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with all staff, clients and consultants in a professional manner;
Excellent organisational and time management skills, the ability to coordinate and prioritise tasks and to juggle multiple demands.
Maintains confidentiality, working with discretion, respecting sensitivity of information and situations;
Remains focused, task orientated, driven and with attention to detail, working independently and in a team
Moderate supervisory skills with the ability to lead, mentor and support team members.
Effective and diplomatic approach to problem solving and conflict resolution

Architectural Technician/Senior Architectural Technician - Responsibilities
Design and Technical:
Assistance to project teams with the development of documentation throughout all project phases.
Work with the Project Leader to gain an understanding of project requirements and ensure project delivery targets are met.
Effective coordination of consultant input and documentation as required.
Adherence and application of the BCA and applicable standards.
Adopt and implement all company procedures, policies and systems.
Team Involvement and Supervision:
Collaborative approach to team setting, ensuring thorough and effective communication.
Effective management of technicians/students team:
To ensure delivery of documentation in a timely and efficient manner and in conjunction with the project programme;
Coach and develop team members through on the job mentoring.
Provision of assistance to Project Architect/Leader in the development of a documentation programme in conjunction with fee forecasting and cash flow.
Architectural Technician/Senior Architectural Technician - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or Certificate in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
Minimum 5-10 years industry experience.
Technical:
Very high working knowledge and understanding of documentation standards and construction methods in Australia
Very high level graphic communication skills.
Very high level ability to correctly interpret consultants' documents.
Very high level working knowledge of Auto CAD and REVIT.
Qualities:
Reliable with a high level of integrity and professional approach to responsibilities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with all staff, Clients and Consultants in a professional manner.
