We are seeking an experiencedDesktop Estimatorto join our pre‐construction team.
In this role, you will provide accurate, timely desktop assessments and estimates that support quality repair and construction outcomes for our insurer and client partners.
About the role
Due to continued company growth, aDesktop Estimatoris required to support our expanding portfolio of insurance repair projects.
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail‐focused person to join our dynamic team.
In this role you will:
· Review documentation, photos, reports and scopes to assess building damage and determine appropriate construction methodologies and repair strategies.
· Prepare accurate estimates and scopes of work within agreed service levels using estimating and job management software.
· Liaise with property owners, client representatives and internal project teams to clarify requirements and set clear expectations.
· Collaborate with field estimators and site supervisors to validate scopes, resolve queries and ensure alignment between desktop assessments and site conditions.
· Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes, templates and data quality.
Our ideal candidate
You will bring:




· Previous experience in residential or commercial building estimating; insurance repair experience is required.
· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and trade rates.
· Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem‐solving skills.
· Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders.
· Solid computer skills and experience with estimating or job management software.
A trade background, construction qualification or prior experience in insurance repair estimating is essential.
