We are seeking a motivated and organised Rostering Coordinator to join our busy Rostering team at Amity Care Services. This role is responsible for coordinating accurate, timely and person-centred rosters for participants and support workers. You will work closely with the Rostering Lead, support workers, participants, families and internal departments to ensure shifts are filled appropriately, participant needs are met, and staffing arrangements remain compliant and sustainable.
This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, communicating clearly, working under pressure, and supporting both staff and participants with professionalism and care. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and maintain participant and staff rosters in line with participant needs, staff availability and service requirements
Allocate support workers to shifts, including new engagements, ongoing supports, respite and Supported Independent Living arrangements Respond to roster changes, cancellations,
unfilled shifts and day-to-day staffing issues in a timely and professional manner Communicate clearly with support workers, participants, families, coordinators and internal teams regarding roster updates and changes
Support smooth handovers for new participants, new staff, first shifts and meet and greets Monitor staff availability, shift allocations, travel considerations, skills matching and continuity of support Maintain accurate rostering records and documentation within VisualCare and related systems
Escalate concerns regarding participant safety, staff conduct, availability gaps, compliance risks or service continuity to the Rostering Lead or relevant manager Work collaboratively with Recruitment, Clinical, Accounts and Management to support safe and consistent service delivery Ensure rostering practices align with Amity Care Services policies, NDIS requirements and SCHADS Award considerations
About You We are looking for someone who is calm, organised and confident communicating with a wide range of people.
You will be able to manage competing priorities, think quickly, and remain professional when dealing with last-minute changes or complex rostering issues. You will bring: Ability to work flexibly across a seven-day roster
Experience in rostering, scheduling, administration or coordination, ideally within disability, aged care,
home care or community services Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and time management
Ability to work in a busy environment and manage competing priorities Confidence using computer systems, Microsoft Office and rostering or care management platforms such as VisualCare A practical problem-solving approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
A genuine interest in supporting vulnerable people in our community Understanding of confidentiality, skilled boundaries and respectful communication Knowledge of the NDIS, SCHADS Award or community services sector would be highly regarded
Requirements NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
Completed NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module, or willingness to complete Current driver licence and reliable transport may be required depending on business needs Ability to work from our Mornington Peninsula office
