Sugar Terminals Limited (STL) owns and operates six bulk commodity terminals along the Queensland coast, from Cairns to Bundaberg, and plays a vital role in getting the majority of Australia's raw sugar to global markets. Our terminals provide large‐scale storage and handling capacity for raw sugar and other bulk commodities, supporting growers, millers, and exporters across regional Queensland.

As an infrastructure business, STL focuses on safe, reliable, and efficient operations, with teams working across both corporate and site‐based environments to keep export supply chains moving. Our people take pride in the essential service we provide to local communities and the broader sugar industry, and this role will contribute to embedding STL's recent insourced operating model at site level.

STL seeks to appoint a Terminal Supervisor (Mechanical) based in Bundaberg. Responsible for leading and developing a multidisciplinary team of tradespeople and operators. You will be involved in varied maintenance projects and run the site collaboratively with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.





Reporting to the Terminal Manager, key deliverables include;

Maintaining and improving STL's safety culture and compliance ensuring the health and wellbeing of all team members, contractors, and visitors.Leading and developing the team for optimal outcomes and performance.Enhancing the culture through leading by example and upholding STL's values.Building key internal and external relationships to deliver value and meet targets.Effective scheduling and planning tasks, and contractor management.Problem-solving, budgeting, data analysis, and reporting.

To be considered for this exceptional role you will have;

A mechanical trade background with good knowledge of maintenance and asset management systems and processes.Mechanical Trade qualification, relevant health and safety certification, and current driver's license.Leadership and team development experience in a similar role.Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage and influence a range of key stakeholders.Prior job scheduling and planning experience (advantageous).High emotional intelligence and be a self-starter.Resilience and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.A passion for safety and continuous improvement.
