Warehouse & Logistics Officer
Permanent Full-Time | Welshpool, WA
$65,000-$75,000 per annum (based on experience)
As this is a permanent role, candidates MUST have FULL working rights within Australia.
We're looking for an experienced, proactive
Warehouse & Logistics Officer
to join our client's team in Welshpool. This is an excellent chance for someone who enjoys taking ownership, staying organised, and being part of a busy manufacturing environment that supplies critical products to the underground mining industry.
This is a diverse role that combines purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, logistics and production scheduling. You will work closely with suppliers, production teams and management to ensure materials are available when needed and projects are delivered on time.

About the Role
This is more than a typical Warehouse position. We're looking for someone who can step in, take charge of the stores area, improve organisation, and ensure stock and dispatch operations run smoothly. When things are quieter in the warehouse, you'll be happy to lend a hand in the workshop with basic production or assembly tasks.
Key Responsibilities;
Receiving and dispatching goods accurately and efficiently
Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
Maintaining inventory accuracy and stock control
Organising and improving the stores area
Processing stock movements using computer systems
Assisting with inventory counts and stock replenishment
Supporting the production team with workshop duties as required
Purchasing materials, components and consumables from local and international suppliers.
Maintaining supplier relationships and obtaining competitive pricing and delivery schedules.
Managing incoming and outgoing freight and logistics requirements.
Coordinating stock receipting, storage, picking and issuing of materials to production.
Assisting with production scheduling and job order management.
Conducting stocktakes and inventory reconciliations.
Working closely with production, engineering and management teams to support business objectives and customer delivery requirements.
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies across purchasing, inventory and warehouse operations.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has previous experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, warehousing or logistics.
Experience within mining, manufacturing, industrial, automotive or engineering industries would be advantageous.
Has previous experience in stores, warehousing or dispatch
Has inventory and stock control experience
Is computer literate (MS Office) and comfortable learning new systems
Has MYOB experience (preferred but not essential)
Is organised, self-motivated and able to work independently
Shows initiative and enjoys improving processes
Is hands-on and willing to help wherever needed
Has excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude
Holds a current forklift licence (desirable, but not essential)
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Confidence working with ERP, inventory management and business systems.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within a team environment.
