Apprentice Boilermaker
Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships, in partnership with Leichhardt, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Boilermaker to join the team at the Lake MacLeod operation in Carnarvon, Western Australia.

About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has a genuine interest in pursuing a career as a qualified Boilermaker
Is reliable, motivated and eager to learn
Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Is committed to working safely and maintaining a positive attitude
Is willing to follow instructions, take initiative and continually develop new skills
Has completed Year 10 or equivalent (preferred), with sound mathematics skills
Holds a current driver's licence or is working towards obtaining one
What You'll Learn
As an Apprentice Boilermaker, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience while developing the practical skills needed to become a qualified tradesperson. Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll learn how to:
Perform welding,



fabrication, maintenance and repair of mining and industrial equipment
Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and workshop documentation
Safely use a wide range of hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
Inspect equipment, identify faults and complete routine condition reports
Solve practical problems and contribute to maintenance and repair solutions
Work safely in accordance with company procedures, policies and industry standards
Communicate effectively with supervisors, tradespeople and other team members
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
Balance on-the-job training with TAFE studies to successfully complete your apprenticeship

What You Need to Know Before Applying
This apprenticeship may require you to attend TAFE in Perth several times throughout the year under a block-release training model. During these periods,



travel and accommodation will be arranged and paid for by the company; however, attendance is compulsory.
You should be comfortable:
Living away from home for short periods while attending TAFE block release (generally up to two weeks at a time)
Travelling independently to and from Perth, including between your arranged accommodation and TAFE each day
Committing to both your workplace responsibilities and training requirements throughout the duration of your traineeship
This is an important part of successfully completing your nationally recognised qualification.
