Location: Meningie, SA, **** Full time: Immediate start Reports to: Aged Care Facility Manager Job Title: Nursing Support Worker Salary range: $79,500 - $85,000 depending on skill level + Superannuation Job Closure date: 30 days Job Summary: Our client is a community-based not-for-profit home located in a small town of Meningie. Their modern, 30 bed home has a lovely outlook over the town and Lake. Our client is looking for an experienced Nursing Support Worker to join the team focussed on ensuring an excellent quality of care to residents and by extension, their families.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Clinical & Care Support:
Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal assistance while promoting independence
Measure and record vital signs, weight, and fluid intake/output as directed
Support medication management by reminding residents and assisting with medication administration under nurse supervision
Assist with basic wound care, applying dressings, and reporting any changes to nursing staff
Therapy & Rehabilitation Assistance:
Implement prescribed therapy plans including gentle exercises and mobility support
Assist occupational therapists and physiotherapists during treatment sessions
Support dementia care by implementing behaviour management strategies
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate electronic and paper records of care provided
Document changes in resident conditions, behaviours, or care needs




Complete incident reports and risk assessments when required
Resident Wellbeing & Engagement:
Provide emotional support through active listening and meaningful conversation
Encourage resident participation in social activities and community programs
Advocate for resident rights and preferences in all care decisions
Safety & Compliance:
Follow infection control protocols including proper hand hygiene and PPE use
Assist with manual handling using correct equipment and techniques
Report maintenance issues, hazards, or near misses promptly
What They're Looking For:
Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent
1+ years of full-time experience in aged care or disability support
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (issued within last 5 years) is preferable
Current flu vaccination & COVID-19 immunisation
Reliable transport
