About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our Mobile Services team at Proserpine Mill. As a Diesel Fitter, you'll be working in a dynamic environment, maintaining and repairing our critical locomotive fleet and mobile plant.
This is a permanent position which will require shift work (nights only) during the Crushing Season, June – Dec, and Day Work during the Maintenance Season, Jan - May. You'll have the chance to dive into a role that offers both challenges and rewards, making a real impact in an industry that's unlike any other.
Your Qualifications & Experience
Our ideal candidate will have:
Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Diesel Fitter) or Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
Proven experience in servicing and repairing diesel engines and mobile plant, with a robust background in heavy industrial work.
Desirable (but not essential) Skills:
Hydraulics
Dogman Licence
Forklift Licence
Confined Space Ticket
Working at Heights Ticket
Construction Card
Overhead Crane Ticket
Welding Skills
