As an
Operations Supervisor
, you'll use your construction leadership experience to plan, coordinate and lead site teams installing temporary works solutions, including ground support systems and structural propping.
This is a hands-on leadership role
where you'll be the key Coates representative on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

, this permanent opportunity comes with a competitive salary, vehicle, and ongoing training and development. Some regional travel will be required as part of the role.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading and supervising installation crews across a range of temporary works and structural support projects
Demonstrating and promoting a strong Safety First culture across all worksites and customer interactions
Planning, coordinating and executing installations in accordance with engineering designs, methodologies and safety requirements
Preparing construction methodologies and ensuring compliance with Coates policies and relevant industry standards
Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure installations are completed accurately
Supervising subcontractors and managing site activities to achieve quality, productivity and project deadlines
Building and developing a high-performing installation and rigging team through clear direction and leadership
Working closely with branches to coordinate labour, plant and equipment requirements
Maintaining strong relationships with customers,
providing updates on project progress, variations and potential delays
Providing practical site-based expertise and feedback to engineering and technical teams
Ensuring all work is delivered safely, on time and to customer expectations
What You'll Bring To The Role
Minimum 5 years' experience working on construction or civil project sites
Previous experience leading teams in a Foreman, Site Supervisor or similar leadership role
Demonstrated experience preparing and managing risk assessments and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
Solid knowledge of site safety requirements, construction methodologies and temporary works practices
Ability to read and interpret technical and construction drawings
Proven capability to plan work, delegate tasks and supervise teams effectively
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and subcontractors
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
A willingness to travel between project sites, including occasional regional travel
Highly Regarded
Rigger ticket
High Risk Work Licences, including Forklift, EWP and/or Telehandler
