Job Description
Telefirm Pty Ltd Job Ad Position Company Telefirm Pty Ltd Location: Across South Australia Sites Responsibilities Plan the development of customer access telecommunications network infrastructure.
Design, review and support telecommunications network solutions, including fibre cabling, splicing and equipment layouts.
Analyse network performance, identify faults or capacity issues, and recommend improvements, upgrades and optimisation strategies.
Provide technical advice and operational support in designing, troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving telecommunications network performance issues, malfunctions, defects and faults.
Read and interpret complex fibre cabling, splicing and telecommunications equipment plans, diagrams and technical drawings.
Prepare, update and maintain network planning documents, technical reports, work packs, records, logs and related project documentation.
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, service providers, contractors and external stakeholders to support delivery of telecommunications projects.
Monitor project requirements, contractual obligations, quality standards and performance delivery.
Ensure telecommunications network activities comply with relevant regulations, safety requirements, industry standards, company policies and
Work Health & Safety procedures.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to implement network solutions safely, efficiently and within required timeframes.
Support continuous improvement of network planning, field delivery processes and project outcomes.
Essential Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualification in Communications, Telecommunications, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in telecommunications, preferably in network planning, fibre planning,
telecommunications infrastructure or a similar role.
WHS Construction Industry White Card.
Demonstrated good safety record and sound knowledge of Work Health & Safety requirements.
Valid Driver's Licence – C Class.
Current National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
Permanent work rights in Australia.
Ability to read and interpret complex fibre cabling, splicing and equipment plans and diagrams.
Proficiency in network design, planning or related telecommunications software.
Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Robust communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications Previous experience in the utilities and/or resources industry.
Optical fibre accreditation.
ACMA cabling registration.
Relevant telecommunications accreditations.
Experience working across multidiscipline projects.
