Your Chance
As an Activity/Lifestyle Assistant, you will help create engaging and enriching experiences that support cognitive health, emotional wellbeing, social connection and independence.
You'll support older people from diverse backgrounds, including those living with dementia and memory loss, delivering meaningful activities that encourage participation, confidence and a sense of belonging.
From sharing stories over morning tea to facilitating creative programs, music sessions, gentle exercise or community outings, you'll help transform ordinary moments into meaningful experiences.
You'll make an impact by
Delivering engaging and meaningful activities that promote wellbeing, cognitive stimulation, independence, and social connection.
Building genuine relationships with participants, encouraging active participation and creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and connected.
Supporting people living with dementia through person-centred approaches that respect individual preferences, strengths, and changing needs.
Assisting with the delivery of day program services, including refreshments, mealtime support, non-clinical personal assistance, and community-based activities.
Collaborating with families, colleagues,
and community partners to enhance participant experiences and support positive outcomes.
Contributing to high-quality services through effective program coordination, documentation, resource management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Certificate III in Individual Support, Leisure & Health, Community Services or similar
Experience supporting people living with dementia is highly valued, as many of our programs are designed to maintain cognitive function, foster social connection and create moments of purpose, achievement and joy.
National Police Check
Driver's licence
Reliable Vehicle

A genuine passion for enriching the lives of older people
An understanding of the importance of social connection, cognitive engagement and person-centred care
Creativity, enthusiasm and confidence facilitating meaningful activities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
Patience, empathy and adaptability when supporting people with changing needs
Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities
A positive attitude, proactive mindset and energy that inspires participation and enjoyment
