This is a hands-on chance for someone who can bring commercial thinking, strong organisation and confidence working with suppliers to a fast-paced FMCG production environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a senior member of our close-knit purchasing team, you'll take ownership of key purchasing activities across multiple categories while supporting a high-volume FMCG production environment.
Every day brings a new challenge as you balance supply continuity, cost optimisation, inventory performance, supplier relationships, reporting and continuous improvement to keep operations running smoothly.
In this role:
You'll be commercially focused– Using your sharp attention to detail, you'll review data, forecasts and production schedules to optimise inventory levels, support COGS and efficiency improvements, manage cost implications and identify opportunities to improve value across your categories.
You'll be analytical and systems-driven– Confident navigating ERP systems, you'll extract critical information, analyse trends, prepare meaningful reporting and transform data into actionable insights that support decision-making across purchasing, supply chain and production.
You'll drive continuous improvement– Taking ownership of internal process improvements and category management initiatives, you'll help identify smarter ways of working that support cost control, efficiency and stronger purchasing outcomes.
You'll take ownership– Thinking two steps ahead, you'll maintain ingredient availability, resolve supply issues,



support key supplier tender processes and keep purchasing priorities aligned with production targets.
You'll adapt to change– In a rapid-moving manufacturing setting, plans shift quickly.
You'll stay calm, respond decisively, and help keep operations on track.
You'll be a confident negotiator– Building trusted relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you'll negotiate commercially sound outcomes, support operational priorities and contribute to long-term purchasing strategy.
You'll support and guide others– As a senior team member, you'll provide practical guidance and mentoring to colleagues, share knowledge across the team and support the Production Planner with backup coverage when required.
You'll contribute to systems improvement– You'll support ERP upgrade activity and WMS implementation by providing purchasing process insight, helping test improvements and contributing to smoother system adoption across the team.
WHY YOU'RE A GREAT FIT
You have 3–5 years experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, production planning, supply chain or logistics within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Experience purchasing ingredients and commodities will be a significant advantage, helping you hit the ground running and quickly support our production needs.
You thrive in a fast-paced operational setting and enjoy working with people across supply chain, operations and production.
You bring confidence working with suppliers, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence outcomes while maintaining positive working relationships.




You're comfortable preparing reports, interpreting data and using insights to recommend improvements across purchasing, inventory and supplier performance.
You enjoy taking initiative, improving processes and supporting others to build capability within a busy purchasing team.
