About the Prospect
We are excited to offer a permanent Teacher and Position of Responsibility (POR 2 - Design and Digital Technologies Learning Area Leader) opportunity at Gleeson College, commencing in ****.
This key leadership role will shape and strengthen curriculum across Design and Digital Technologies, while contributing to College-wide teaching and learning initiatives.
Working closely with teachers, leaders and the broader Gleeson community, the Design and Digital Technologies Learning Area Leader will foster collaboration, support shared professional growth and help create learning experiences that reflect our commitment to excellence, connection and service.
Your Responsibilities:

As our Design and Digital Technologies Learning Area Leader, you will:
· Contribute to the development of new Technologies learning spaces as part of the College Master Plan.
· Lead and support the development, delivery and review of Design and Digital Technologies curriculum, assessment and learning resources.
· Collaborate with the Assistant Principal Teaching and Learning, Leaders of Middle and Senior Years Teaching and Learning, and the Leading Learning Team to align Learning Area practices with College priorities.
· Guide, resource and support staff through Learning Area meetings, professional learning and collaborative processes.
· Use learner achievement data, moderation and quality assurance processes to inform strategies that strengthen student outcomes.
· Promote safe, inclusive and well-managed learning environments, including the appropriate use of resources, equipment, facilities, risk assessments and safety inductions.




· Build positive links across the College, with partner primary schools, ONE+ Campus schools and the wider educational community.
You have:
· Experience in engaging young people in learning.
· Demonstrated understanding of contemporary curriculum initiatives, including specific qualifications and/or expertise to lead Design and Digital Technologies.
· Capability to teach in other learning area (highly regarded)
· The capacity to lead a team of people and to bring about effective change.
· Demonstrated evidence of effective leadership, teamwork and collaboration.
· An understanding and commitment to the ethos of Catholic schools.
· Acquired and maintain your Teacher's Registration.
· Postgraduate studies in educational leadership or Catholic Education (highly regarded)
· Availability to undergo our screening process, which includes a Working with Children Check, E-Screen, CESA Applicant Declaration Form and completed RRHAN-EC training.
