We're excited to welcome a Clinical Nurse to our SCUH Ambulatory Care Centre (ACC) Surgical Services Outpatients Department.The Ambulatory Care Centre (ACC) provides specialised outpatient care across multiple specialties to the Sunshine Coast community. The ACC aligns the patient journey across the healthcare continuum with the Specialist Outpatient Services Implementation Standard (SOSIS). This ensures the delivery of multidisciplinary, evidence-based coordinated care, clinical follow up, and the appropriate 'closure of care' loop (inclusive of discharge planning). The ACC Clinical Nurse manages the intake and streaming of referrals in addition to the outpatient waiting lists.The advertised position is responsible for the General Surgical and Thoracic surgical specialties.Sunshine Coast Health is a values-based organisation. We respect, protect and promote human rights in our decision-making and actions.Key Responsibilities include:Managing the intake and streaming of referrals, ensuring compliance with Clinical Prioritisation Criteria (CPC).Regularly monitoring outpatient waiting lists to ensure patients are seen in clinically recommended timeframes for current appointments and receive the appropriate follow up care.Working in accordance with the Specialist Outpatient Services Implementation Standard (SOSIS).Managing multiple Specialty Medical Officer (SMO) clinics, e.g. templating increase/decrease in activity,
closure of clinics based on SMO availability.Salary rates: $***** - $***** p.h., employer contribution to superannuation ******%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NRG6(1)) (Permanent Part-time, 62 hours p.f.)
