We're looking for an experienced
Senior Payroll Officer
to join our People & Culture team on a part time basis three days a week.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end monthly payroll process, partnering with our external payroll provider to ensure payroll is delivered accurately, compliantly and on time. You'll be the payroll subject matter expert, managing complex queries, ensuring compliance with Australian payroll legislation, and driving continuous improvement across payroll processes.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the end-to-end monthly payroll cycle with an external provider
Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, awards and company policies
Overseeing payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG and EOFY processes
Managing the relationship with external provider and resolving complex payroll issues
Partnering with Finance on reconciliations and reporting
Identifying process improvements and supporting payroll system enhancements
Mentoring junior payroll team members
About you:
Significant experience in a senior payroll role managing end-to-end payroll
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
Experience working with outsourced payroll providers (ADP highly regarded)
Excellent attention to detail, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
