Disability Support Worker
We are seeking reliable and practical
Support Workers
to provide person-centred supports to people with disability in their homes and community.
This role is hands-on. You support daily living, build independence, and help participants work toward their goals in line with their NDIS plans.
About the Role
You will support participants with everyday activities such as personal care, domestic tasks, meal preparation, community access, and transport. You will follow support plans, maintain professional boundaries, and work in a way that promotes choice, dignity, and safety at all times.
You are expected to work independently, manage your time, and complete basic reporting accurately.
RedDoor provides a high quality of supports to our clients, we do not allow support workers to be on their personal devices during shifts. We do expect support workers to provide a high level of support and complete their internal training.
We have a small team of support workers in Mount Isa that all get along well we are looking for team members that are kind and considerate to clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities




Provide daily living and personal supports as required
Support community participation and social activities
Follow individual support plans and organisational policies
Maintain accurate case notes and incident reports
Promote participant safety, choice, and independence
Communicate clearly with participants, families, and team members
Follow WHS and NDIS Code of Conduct requirements
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting people with disability or similar care roles
Understanding of person-centred practice
Strong communication and skilled boundaries
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
Blue Card (QLD) or willingness to obtain
First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain
Driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Desirable
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support- However we do note that this does not make people better support workers.
Experience with complex needs or behaviours of concern.
