Teaching Assistant / Welfare Assistant - Primary School (Lancaster)
North Lancaster Area | September Start | Long-Term Opportunity
Veritas Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant / Welfare Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the North Lancaster area from September **** on a long-term basis.
This is a varied role combining lunchtime welfare support with classroom-based Teaching Assistant responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and supporting their development both in and out of the classroom.
Role Details
Welfare Assistant
Monday to Friday
12:00pm - 1:30pm daily
Supervising and supporting pupils during lunchtime
Promoting positive behaviour and ensuring children remain safe and engaged
Teaching Assistant (Year 1)
Wednesday only
9:00am - 3:00pm
Supporting the Year 1 class teacher with learning activities
Providing individual and small-group support
Helping pupils to achieve their full potential in a nurturing classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with primary-aged children (school-based experience desirable)
A positive, patient and caring approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
