ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a highly organised
Procurement Coordinator (Operations)
to support our operational teams across mutiple facilities by ensuring materials, equipment and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, on time, and in alignment with food safety standards and principals.
Working closely with our Procurement Coordinator (Projects) as well as Compliance, Operational, Research and Development, and Finance teams, you'll build and maintain strong supplier relationships, coordinate purchasing activities, and play a pivotal role in ensuring that critical goods and consumables are available when operationally required, documented, and compliant with all relevant food safety standards and processes.
Expected responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate purchase orders for materials (seeds, growing consumables, nutrients, packaging etc.), equipment and services.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Australian and international suppliers, as well as track supplier performance and proactively resolve delivery issues.
Negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms.




Monitor inventory levels and forecast material requirements according to operational schedules and warehousing capacity.
Prepare and maintain guides and communication with operational teams around purchasing and costing processes, and ensure submitted purchase orders comply with those processes.
Prepare procurement, purchasing and expenditure reports.
Ensure procurement activities comply with food standards, company policies and audit requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.
Collaborate with Compliance, Operational, Research and Development, and Finance teams to ensure successful ongoing operations.
Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and supplier performance.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. You're proactive, commercially minded and thrive on keeping projects on track.
You'll also bring:
At least
3 years' procurement experience
, with some or all of that
ideally within a food production environment
.
Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
Experience using
ERP platforms
and
Xero
.
Strong analytical and reporting capability.
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Confidence managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with
Google Workspace
.
Experience within a manufacturing or agricultural environment will be highly regarded.
