Position: Youth Worker
Location: PCYC Kempsey
Hours of Work: 2 days per week 8am – 4pm, must also be available to work early morning and late evenings.

Fit for Work:
Join us in delivering our impactful 10-week program, Fit for Work! This program aims to reconnect disengaged young people with valuable employment opportunities. As a Youth Worker, you will facilitate group sessions focusing on employability and life skills, helping participants develop the con?dence and capabilities needed to thrive in the workplace.
Stepping Up:




Become an integral part of our Stepping Up program, a transformative 12-month initiative designed to smooth the transition from school to long-term employment. You will play a pivotal role in delivering an intensive skills development curriculum, providing one-on-one mentoring, and fostering connections with employers and community organisations to generate entry-level job opportunities for program participants.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate group sessions focused on employability and life skills
Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to program participants
Collaborate with employers and community organisations to generate employment opportunities
Assist in recruitment efforts and program promotion
Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing support throughout the program duration
Attend weekly P.D and program team meetings to contribute towards program evaluation processes.
Maintain case notes, records, and administrative information in order to complete program milestone and case note reporting in accordance with program standards
Scheduling the program and participants, planning and preparing resources, and overseeing and participating in the program.
Facilitate delivery of programs in compliance with funder metrics, performance measurements and ensuring the program fits within budget/funding provisions




Collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes to ensure the program is impactful
Performance monitoring and reporting of the program
Key focus on community safety through skill building, and behaviour change and capability build.
Support the delivery of planned outcomes by providers, including program development, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
Provide knowledge and expertise in focus areas for successful program delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum Certi?cate IV in Youth Work or relevant quali?cation
Experience in program facilitation
Demonstrated experience in youth work or employment support services
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage and motivate young people
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young individuals
