Consumer and Business Services (CBS) is seeking motivated and

Compliance Inspectors
.
This is an opportunity to build a rewarding career protecting

As a Compliance Inspector, you'll work across metropolitan and
regional South Australia in a dynamic role that combines
investigation, problem-solving and community engagement. One day
you may be inspecting licensed businesses, the next providing
advice to licence holders, investigating complaints or working
alongside other regulatory and law enforcement agencies.

As a Compliance Inspector, you will:
conduct inspections to assess compliance with legislation,
licence conditions and regulatory requirements
educate and advise businesses, licence holders and members
of the public to support voluntary compliance
investigate alleged breaches through interviews, evidence
gathering and document review
undertake appropriate compliance and enforcement action in
accordance with legislation
prepare clear reports and documentation to support
regulatory and legal processes
work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies
to deliver effective regulatory outcomes

While experience in compliance or investigations is highly

About the
Business
The Attorney-General's Department (AGD) is a key portfolio
within the South Australian Government, employing more than 1,900
staff. AGD delivers high-level legal services and advice to
Ministers and government agencies, provides specialist policy
support, oversees regulation and compliance functions, and delivers
essential services directly to the community.
Consumer and Business Services (CBS) is a division of the
Attorney-General's Department and is responsible for protecting
consumers, supporting and regulating businesses and recording
significant life events for South Australians. CBS is customer
focussed and flexible in its activities, providing accessible
information and services.
This role contributes to the strategic goals of CBS through
strategic and operational oversight of a portfolio of significant
projects aimed at improving the security, efficiency, and
effectiveness of CBS operations. This includes maintaining and
improving customer service standards across CBS in line with SA
government initiatives.

Special Conditions for
Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate
clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants




will be provided further information if an interview is requested.
Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under
any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so
will not be recoverable from the AGD.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence
(equivalent to minimum class C).
May be required to work according to a 7-day roster
including nights, weekends and public holidays.
Eligible to be appointed and exercise the powers and
functions of an Authorised Officer or Inspector under relevant
legislation.
