About the role
Freightmaster Semi Trailers is seeking a full-time
Storeman
to join our team in Burton SA ****. This is a key operational position within our warehousing and distribution operations, responsible for the effective management, organisation and handling of inventory. As Storeman, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products through our facility, maintaining accurate stock records, and supporting our logistics operations to meet customer demands.
What you'll be doing
Receiving, inspecting and processing incoming goods and materials into the warehouse system
Organising and storing inventory in designated locations, ensuring optimal space utilisation and easy retrieval
Maintaining accurate stock records and performing regular inventory counts to ensure data integrity
Preparing orders for dispatch, including picking, packing and labelling goods according to specifications
Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
Ensuring the warehouse remains clean, well-organised and compliant with health and safety standards
Loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring goods are secured and transported safely
Assisting with stock take activities and identifying discrepancies
Supporting the warehouse team to meet deadlines and maintain productivity targets
What we're looking for
Proven experience working in a warehouse, storage or distribution environment
Proficiency in operating standard warehouse equipment including forklifts (certification preferred)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management
Physical capability to lift heavy items regularly and work in varied warehouse conditions
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions promptly
Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
A commitment to health and safety practices and compliance with workplace procedures
Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
