Job Description
As a Stewarding Supervisor, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage outlets, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and supporting a seamless guest experience across NCCC.
You will lead a team of stewarding staff, oversee equipment maintenance, and assist with food preparation and service when required.
In this role, you'll handle a variety of supervisory and operational tasks vital to the smooth running of our outlets, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards while supporting other departments as needed.
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
GUEST EXPERIENCE
Supervise stewarding operations to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across all F&B; outlets and public areas
Support chefs with food preparation, presentation, and kitchen duties as required
Assist with receiving, storing, and managing goods efficiently
Be the main point of call for event set-ups and equipment manoeuvring
Ensure all crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment are cleaned, maintained, and stored properly in accordance with HACCP guidelines
PEOPLE
Lead, coach, and motivate the stewarding team, fostering a cooperative and professional environment
Assist with rostering, departmental training, and onboarding new team members
Encourage participation and input from all colleagues, promoting teamwork and skilled work habits
OPERATIONS & SAFETY
Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and well-being initiatives
Participate in inspections, audits, stocktakes,



and reporting of hazards
Assist Facilities Manager in investigations of injuries or incidents and recommend corrective actions
Demonstrate proper use of chemicals and assist other departments with chemical requirements
Maintain organized and clean storage areas, walk-in fridges, and equipment
FINANCIAL & RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
Support cost-saving initiatives and efficient use of resources
Assist with departmental reporting as required
Partner with management to maintain compliance with food safety, WHS, and operational standards
What we need from you:
Responsibility and reliability
Strong customer focus and excellent teamwork skills
Adaptability to different situations
Ability to follow instructions and take initiative when required
Full Australian working rights are required for this position
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience in stewarding, banquets, kitchen operations, or food and beverage service
Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable
Knowledge of workplace health and safety and HACCP standards
