About the
Opportunity
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for developing and
reporting on the achievement of service level performance measures
relating to customer financial transactions and ensuring financial
controls operate effectively, including timely bank
reconciliations, appropriate segregation of duties and compliance
with internal control requirements. As part of this role, you are
accountable for maintaining the integrity of the customer
accounting general ledger, driving continuous improvement and
customer focused practices, and supporting the development and
implementation of financial management policies and procedures. The
role also requires experience in managing a team, including
coaching and, mentoring, performance management and capability
development.
What you'll need to succeed:
Appropriate degree in Accounting, Business or related
discipline
Ability to organise and prioritise high workload and deal
with multifaceted financial issues, varied and competing
priorities
Leadership, management, organisation and motivation of
branch staff
Experience in conducting financial analysis
Experience in the implementation and maintenance of
accounting and financial management systems, the development of
and production of appropriate financial reports
Proven ability to communicate effectively, orally and in
writing at all levels, including the ability to clearly
communicate finance related concepts and proposals to
non-finance staff and stakeholders
Desirable:




Experience in trust accounting and transaction processing
for high-volume customer based financial operations
Professional membership, or eligibility for membership, of
CPA Australia, or an equivalent professional accounting
body
About the
Business
The Office of the Public Trustee (Public Trustee) operates as
part of the Attorney-General's Department and was established on 1
January ****, under the Public Trustee Act **** (SA). It offers
services to South Australians, including will preparation, powers
of attorney, and administration of deceased estates and
trusts. The Public Trustee is also responsible for managing
the personal, legal, and financial affairs of individuals who are
unable to handle these matters on their own. At the heart of our

those we serve.

Special Conditions for
Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate
clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants
will be provided further information if an interview is requested.

will not be recoverable from the AGD.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
