Description
South
Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) is seeking experienced
Senior Project Officers to join the SMHS
Organisational Development (OD) team.
The OD
function at SMHS delivers a diverse portfolio spanning leadership
development, capability building, learning systems, wellbeing,
culture and engagement. Our work focuses on strengthening
leadership, team effectiveness, and employee experience across the
organisation, with a strong emphasis on psychological safety,
inclusion, wellbeing, compassion and performance in complex
healthcare environments.
As a member
of the SMHS Transformation Directorate, the Senior Project Officer
plays a lead role in the design, development, implementation and
evaluation of organisational development initiatives, projects and
programs that contribute to the continuous improvement of South
Metropolitan Health Service and support both clinical and
non-clinical workforces. You will partner with leaders and teams to
improve ways of working, strengthen team effectiveness, build
capability, enhance role clarity and coordination, and support
sustainable change. The position applies organisational development
consultancy using evidence-informed approaches to identify and
address the underlying drivers of performance, culture and workflow
challenges.
Current
initiatives include leadership and management development programs,
Human Factors training, mentoring programs, wellbeing initiatives
and organisation-wide capability development projects.
About
You
The ideal
candidate will demonstrate:
Experience in
organisational development, leadership development and team
effectiveness.
Strong
facilitation,



stakeholder engagement, relationship building and
influencing skills.
Experience designing,
developing and delivering learning solutions across
face-to-face, blended and digital environments using
contemporary instructional design principles.
Strong
analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate outcomes and
drive continuous improvement.
Experience developing
and implementing education, training and development processes
and procedures.
Experience coordinating
the delivery of learning, leadership and workforce development
programs across diverse professional groups.
