As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality business intelligence solutions across the organisation. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, analyse data from multiple sources, design semantic models using star schema principles, and develop intuitive Power BI reports and dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with SQL and data modelling principles, and the ability to translate business processes and existing reporting solutions into scalable, governed Power BI datasets and reports.

What will you be doing?
Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate business needs into impactful analytics and reporting solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and business metrics, leveraging Power Query, data transformations, parameters, deployment pipelines, and Power BI best practices.
Design and maintain semantic models using star schema principles, including fact and dimension modelling, to support scalable, trusted, and high-performing reporting solutions.
Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, opportunities, and key business insights that support decision-making.




Transform and modernise existing Excel-based reporting processes into governed and scalable Power BI solutions.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency through validation, reconciliation, testing, and ongoing monitoring of reporting outputs.
Implement and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) and support secure, role-appropriate access to business reporting.
Develop and maintain technical and end-user documentation, provide user support and training, and collaborate with data engineering teams to leverage enterprise data platforms, including Databricks.
You will need the following experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
2-4 years' experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Power BI development.
Solid Power BI development skills, including semantic modelling, DAX, Power Query, data transformation, Row-Level Security (RLS), and Deployment Pipelines.
Strong understanding of star schema design, facts, dimensions, and data modelling best practices.
Experience using SQL to analyse, validate, and reconcile data from multiple sources.
Proven ability to gather requirements, engage stakeholders, and translate business needs into intuitive reporting and analytics solutions.
Experience modernising Excel-based reporting into scalable Power BI solutions; exposure to Azure and Databricks is highly desirable.
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Certifications that set you apart:
Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
Any Other Microsoft Data & Analytics certifications will be highly regarded
