The OpportunityWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Qualified Accountant to join our team.
Our Cootamundra office is a valued part of the local community, offering a supportive, down-to-earth team culture where high standards, hard work and work–life balance are all respected.
The preferred location for this role is our Cootamundra office. However, for the right applicant, we are open to candidates located elsewhere in NSW or the ACT, with hybrid working arrangements available.
You will work closely with clients and team members across all divisions, providing accounting, taxation and business advisory services while contributing to the continued growth and success of our clients and firm.
Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, SMSF's and partnershipsPreparation and review of Business Activity Statements and other compliance requirementsProviding taxation and business advisory services to a diverse client baseBuilding and maintaining strong client relationshipsAssisting clients with business planning,
cash flow management and performance reportingLiaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clientsSupporting senior team members with advisory and consulting engagements
Attributes, Skills & ExperienceCA or CPA qualified (or working towards completion)Minimum 3–5 years' experience in public practice accountingStrong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting principlesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong organisational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong time management and prioritisation skillsProficiency in Xero and Microsoft OfficeExperience with accounting practice management software advantageous
