About the Role
We're looking for a motivated and adaptable Hospital Pharmacist to join our team at Slade Pharmacy, based on site at St Vincent's Private Hospital in Fitzroy. This permanent part‐time opportunity offers a well‐rounded hospital experience, with pharmacists rotating across both the dispensary and clinical ward settings. The role offers flexibility across two part‐time shifts, with the option for pharmacists to work either one or both days. You will play an important role in delivering patient‐centred care, contributing both to accurate dispensing and to clinical pharmacy services on the wards. In this role, you will be involved in dispensing medications, coordinating inpatient and discharge supplies, and supporting the day‐to‐day operations of the pharmacy, while also partnering with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective clinical care. This is an excellent opportunity for hospital and community pharmacists alike to expand their experience and build their clinical skills in a supportive team environment.
Shifts
We are seeking a dedicated pharmacist who is available to work either, or both, of the following shifts:
Thursday: 1:00pm – 7:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am – 12:30pm

Key Responsibilities
Dispense and supply medications and pharmacy products accurately and efficiently
Conduct medication chart reviews & medication reconciliation (Medication Management Plans) and prepare discharge summaries during transitions of care




Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stays and discharge
Liaise with hospital staff to ensure timely and safe medication supply
Maintain inventory and support stock control processes
Provide medication advice and support to patients, carers, and hospital staff
Deliver excellent customer service and uphold pharmacy standards
About You
You're a dependable and adaptable pharmacist who enjoys working in a fast‐paced dispensary workplace and values accuracy, teamwork, and patient care.
Key Requirements
Current AHPRA General Registration as a Pharmacist
Experience in an Australian hospital or community pharmacy
Familiarity with Fred Dispense and PBS (preferred)
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
High attention to detail and commitment to safe dispensing practices
