About the Role
Are you passionate about empowering women and children impacted by domestic, family, and sexual violence? Join our dedicated team delivering trauma-informed, culturally responsive services as part of the NPA New Specialist Worker Program.
You will provide early intervention, crisis support, case management, and advocacy to help victim-survivors recover and rebuild safe, healthy lives. Your work will be vital in improving access to justice, housing, and support services, particularly in rural, regional, and marginalized communities.
What you will be doing
Deliver trauma-informed, client-centred support and case management to women and children experiencing violence.
Develop safety plans and conduct comprehensive risk assessments.
Advocate for clients with housing, legal, and community services.
Collaborate with community partners and government agencies to enhance service delivery.
Maintain confidential, accurate client records and case files.
Participate in community education and violence prevention initiatives.
What we are looking for
Qualification in Community/Social Welfare OR equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of domestic, family, and sexual violence dynamics and legal frameworks.
Proven case management, risk assessment,
and advocacy skills.
Experience working with women and children from diverse cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and CALD communities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally safe practices.
Current Working with Children Check, Criminal History Check, and valid driver's license.
