Maitland Aquatics centre is an award-winning facility, committed to environmental sustainability, playing an integral in the leisure and recreation service offering with over 185,000 visits each year. Maitland Aquatic Centre offers a combination of indoor and outdoor pools, an aquatic playground and children wading pools, viewing grandstands and park areas, making the centres a popular leisure, play, education, and fitness destination for the region.
About the role
Our Aquatics Officer positions offer an exciting opportunity to join the Aquatics industry or continue on your Aquatics career!
Our Aquatics Officer role encompasses kiosk customer service, Pool Lifeguard, Learn to Swim teacher or an Aqua Fitness/Program Instructor, with opportunities for all different levels of experience in these specialties and in house opportunities to cross skill and develop in these different areas.
We are currently recruiting for a number of casual Aquatics Officers to join our team for the Summer season. We are searching for enthusiastic applicants who are committed to delivering exceptional customer service at a welcoming, safe and fun facility, serving our community.
These roles will be commencing early September ****.
About you:
We are looking for candidates with strong communication skills, who love working in customer service and thrive in an energetic, team environment. You must have a Current NSW Working with Children Check (or be prepared to obtain one if you are 18+) and be available to work long and short shifts over a 7-day roster period (Monday to Sunday and including public holidays).
Whilst it is not essential that you possess relevant Aquatics qualifications when applying for this position,



some of the qualifications you may possess can include a RLSSA Pool Lifeguard License, an AUSTSWIM or RLSSA Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate or an AUSTSWIM WETS Aqua Instructor Certificate (Aquatics Fitness) to name a few.
Benefits:
The base hourly rate for these casual roles will range from $***** up to $*****, dependent on the diversity of your experience and skill levels across the various aquatic centre functions.
In addition, you will also receive 25% casual loading plus weekend penalty rates (where applicable).
