Job Description:
Due to growth, we are looking for an experienced Hiring & On Boarding Officer to join our team who will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment and onboarding across the organisation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our workforce meets all regulatory, compliance, and quality standards required within the disability and youth support sector.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end recruitment for community and Head Office roles
Draft, post, and manage job advertisements across multiple platforms
Screen applications and conduct phone and face-to-face interviews
Coordinate and complete reference checks, right-to-work checks, and background screening
Manage compliance requirements, including NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC, police checks, and mandatory documentation
Prepare and issue employment contracts and new starter paperwork
Coordinate inductions and support current starters through onboarding
Liaise with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and role requirements
Maintain accurate recruitment and employee records
Support continuous improvement of recruitment and onboarding processes
Skills & Attributes
Previous experience in recruitment, ideally within disability, community, or youth services
Understanding of compliance-based recruitment requirements
Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills
High attention to detail
Professional, empathetic, and values-driven approach
Ability to work independently and prioritise efficiently
Requirements
Intermediate to advanced computer skills
Experience recruiting frontline support workers
Knowledge of SCHADS Award and NDIS (highly regarded).
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
Current Blue & Yellow card (or willing to obtain)
Full-time availability (38 hours)
