This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled ICT professional to lead endpoint security, device management, infrastructure improvements and technology projects that support Council's digital workplace.

About This Opportunity

As the Senior ICT Endpoint Engineer, you will be responsible for the ongoing management, security, performance and future planning of Council's endpoint infrastructure, mobile device management platform and standard operating environment. Working across both cloud and on-premises technologies, you'll provide expert technical advice, support critical infrastructure projects and drive continuous improvement across Council's ICT environment.

Key Responsibilities Include

Developing and maintaining Council's endpoint and mobile device architecture aligned with business and ICT objectives. Providing high-level administration, maintenance and support for endpoint deployment, device management, endpoint security and core infrastructure systems. Supporting secure and scalable software deployment, endpoint compliance and licence management practices. Monitoring endpoint environments to identify issues early and improve reliability, performance and security outcomes. Developing and maintaining operational procedures, technical documentation and disaster recovery information. Coordinating moderately complex ICT infrastructure projects, including requirements gathering, project planning and stakeholder engagement. Working collaboratively with Council users, Information Services staff, vendors and contractors to deliver fit-for-purpose technology solutions.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Relevant experience in endpoint engineering, device management,



infrastructure support, or a related ICT discipline. Relevant qualifications or industry certifications will be highly regarded. Experience working within large corporate endpoint management environments. Experience supporting both cloud-based and on-premises endpoint management technologies. Substantial experience with endpoint management and deployment platforms. Strong experience in endpoint engineering, system configuration management, servers, storage and network infrastructure. Experience delivering and supporting ICT infrastructure projects. Experience with endpoint security and device management technologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across technical and non-technical teams.

Highly regarded: Microsoft certifications, experience with VMware or Hyper-V, ICT policy development, and experience working within local government or similarly complex enterprise environments.
