Play a key role in shaping the future of Council's major infrastructure projects by providing high-level financial oversight, insights and control across significant capital works programs.
This fixed-term opportunity is until 22 December ****, supporting the delivery of high-profile infrastructure initiatives, including the Tripoli Way extension and other major projects.
Reporting to the Infrastructure Planning Manager, with a strong functional alignment to the Finance team, this role bridges project delivery and financial governance and is instrumental in ensuring the financial integrity of our major capital works.
What you will do:
You will support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and grant processes to ensure effective financial management across your project portfolio.
Lead financial management of major infrastructure projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure control
Provide accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly and quarterly reviews
Develop financial models to support project planning, funding strategies, and decision-making
Manage project cashflow, funding sources, and grant administration including acquittals
Ensure compliance with financial frameworks, governance requirements, and reporting standards
Partner with project managers and finance teams to deliver insights, identify risks, and implement cost controls
About you:
You are degree qualified with CA/CPA eligibility and bring strong proficiency in financial systems and Excel. You have demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and cost control, ideally within capital projects or infrastructure environments.
You will also bring a collaborative approach, with well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Commencing salary range from $92,894 - $102,562 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
