About the Role
As our Laser Sales Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely quotations for laser cutting projects. You will liaise with customers to understand project requirements, interpret technical drawings, calculate material and machine time requirements, and ensure pricing aligns with company standards and production capability.
Working closely with the
Laser Coordinator
, programmers and production supervisors, you will help ensure estimates are both technically sound and commercially competitive while supporting efficient production outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Communicate with customers to clarify project requirements, materials and delivery timeframes.
Analyse technical drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
Calculate labour, machine runtime and material usage.
Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and quotations.
Maintain accurate records of quotations and customer interactions.




Support the sales team in securing new and repeat business.
Monitor material costs and manufacturing efficiencies to maintain competitive pricing.
Liaise with production to ensure quoted jobs align with manufacturing capability and capacity.
About You
You will bring:
Experience in estimating within fabrication, sheet metal, laser cutting or manufacturing.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
High attention to detail and excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Solid communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
CAD experience will be highly regarded.
Experience using SigmaNEST software will be highly regarded.
Previous experience in laser cutting or CNC manufacturing will be highly regarded.
