Caloundra Power Boat Club is a busy coastal venue with a strong reputation for consistency, quality, and efficient kitchen operations. We run a high‐volume bistro, functions, and events, supported by a stable team and up-to-date equipment including iVario Pro and combi ovens.
The Role
We are seeking a full‐time Sous Chef to join our leadership team. This role supports the Head Chef in day‐to‐day operations, including service execution, prep management, staff supervision, and maintaining our high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
You'll be hands‐on, organised, calm under pressure, and confident leading sections during peak periods.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen leadership during service and prep
Maintaining food quality and consistency across all menu items
Training and supporting junior chefs
Assisting with ordering, stock rotation, and waste control
Upholding food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
Contributing to menu development and specials when required
Ensuring smooth communication across the kitchen and front‐of‐house
About You




Qualified Chef with strong experience in high‐volume venues
Confident running a section and leading a team
Reliable, organised, and solutions‐focused
Able to work a rotating roster including weekends
Positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a professional kitchen culture
