Student Support Officer
to join our team on a
part-time (18hr/week)
basis.
About Us
The York Study Hub provides a welcoming space for students pursuing higher education in the Wheatbelt. We offer study support, career development and mentoring, and a vibrant community to support learning and personal development. The York Lumen Study hubs is a part of network of hubs across the Wheatbelt.
The Role
As a
Student Support Officer
, you will:
Provide high-quality, tailored support to students in areas such as study skills, accessing academic resources and support and career development, contributing to strong student outcomes.
Offer clear, accurate guidance on higher education and TAFE pathways, including enrolment processes, course selection, and study requirements.
Drive student engagement through the coordination and delivery of events, workshops, and targeted activities.
Create and maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and professional environment that supports student success and encourages ongoing engagement.
Build and maintain effective relationships with staff, education providers, and external stakeholders to strengthen service delivery and student support.




Work collaboratively with the team to deliver on the shared goal of supporting students to succeed and thrive in the region, while actively promoting higher education participation and clear pathways into further study
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience working with people in a community, professional, or education environment, with a focus on building relationships and providing support.
Has a general understanding of higher education, including study expectations and requirements at that level of study.
Demonstrates strong administrative capability, with attention to detail and the ability to manage systems, records, and processes effectively.
Is personable, professional, and genuinely invested in student success, with the ability to create a welcoming and supportive environment
Is highly organised and confident engaging with a range of stakeholders, including students, education providers, and community members, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
Brings energy and a proactive mindset to growing awareness and engagement within the community.
