What you willdo as the Assistant Director, ProcurementPolicy
Ensure the properapplication,
education and implementation of current andemerging procurement policies, including requirements under theCommonwealth Procurement Framework and Rules, ProcurementPolicy Notes, Procurement Connected Polices and Whole ofAustralian Government arrangements.
Manage thedevelopment and continuous improvement of ACCC's procurementframework, processes and templates in consultation with keystakeholders.
Identify, develop,and deliver training on procurement, contract management andprobity matters to ACCC employees.
Manage andcontribute to mandatory reporting obligations by preparinginternal Board papers, the Agency's Annual Procurement Plan,Senate Estimates briefs and reporting spend against theIndigenous Procurement Policy targets, amongst otherobligations.
Provide expertadvice and assurance on procurement and contract managementprocesses including advising on the development and compliancereview of procurement plans, minutes, request for tenderdocumentation, contracts and contract managementplans.
Aboutyou
In orderto succeed in the role, you will have:
Demonstratedexperience supporting a corporate/ central procurement team ina fast-paced, complex people-centred organisation.
Demonstratedexperience and a solid working knowledge of the CommonwealthProcurement Framework,
including the application of theCommonwealth Procurement Rules, Procurement Policy Notes,Connected Polices and current and emerging Whole of AustralianGovernment requirements.
Responsibility forleading strategic procurement planning, communicating keypolicy decisions and effectively managing change within theteam and broader agency.
Experiencedeveloping and delivering education and training to assistwhole-of-agency capability and compliance uplift while buildingand sustaining positive relationships withstakeholders.
Experiencecompleting mandatory governance and compliance reportingobligations such as Senate Orders, Annual Reports and AnnualProcurement Plans.
Demonstratedexperience thinking strategically to initiate and developframeworks and strategies by identifying broader factors,trends and influences to inform more efficient and streamlinedprocurement processes.
Demonstratedexperience providing timely practical, risk-based advice oncomplex, high-value procurement processes, with the ability toreview the associated procurement documentation to ensurecompliance with relevant policies and frameworks.
