About
the Role:
We are seeking a:
Civil Engineering Draftsperson
to join our growing team in Perth. This mid-level role is responsible for producing accurate 3D models and shop drawings of prefabricated timber wall, floor, and roof systems using up-to-date design and modelling software.
You will work with a high level of autonomy while following OFFSITE's DfMA methodology and established workflows to ensure precision, manufacturability, and buildability across all projects.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation in timber detailing who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
· Develop detailed 3D models and shop drawings for prefabricated timber elements.
· Execute projects in line with established workflows, timelines, and quality standards.
· Maintain accurate project documentation and drawing control processes.
· Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and project teams.
· Apply DfMA principles to ensure manufacturability and efficient construction outcomes.
· Contribute to workflow optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skill & Experience
Required:
Minimum 1+ years' experience in timber frame and truss detailing
OR
· Diploma or higher qualification in Structural Engineering, or Engineered Timber Technology
OR
· 1+ years' experience as a qualified carpenter in residential timber frame construction.
· Strong understanding of prefabricated timber systems, including roof and floor trusses.
· Experience with technical drawing, modelling, or drafting workflows.
· Ability to interpret and apply the BCA and relevant Australian Standards.
· Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Experience:
· Experience with Cadwork, Revit, MiTek Sapphire, hsbCAD, or similar modelling platforms.
· Carpentry background or additional experience in prefabrication detailing.
