TEAM LEAD VAC TRUCK OPERATOR
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Team Lead Vac Truck Operator
to lead the safe and efficient operation of Council's vacuum excavation vehicle and crew, supporting the construction, maintenance, investigation and repair of our water and wastewater networks.
You will coordinate daily operations, perform specialised non-destructive excavation and sewer educt activities, protect critical underground assets, and provide technical guidance and mentoring to your team while ensuring all work is delivered safely, efficiently and to Council's quality standards.

$64,982 p.a. + super + allowances
Full Time + Fortnightly RDO

About the Role
Coordinate operational activities by assisting with the planning, scheduling and delivery of maintenance programs and responding effectively to unplanned and emergency works.
Deliver high-quality services by performing skilled operational tasks, meeting service standards and identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and work practices.
Champion safety and teamwork by promoting a positive team culture, maintaining compliance with WHS, traffic management and operational procedures, and communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
Current Queensland MR Class Driver Licence.
MSMSS***** – Operate a Hydro Excavation System (or willingness to obtain).
Construction Industry White Card.




Demonstrated experience operating vacuum and hydro excavation equipment in civil, water, wastewater or utility environments.
Proven ability to safely operate plant, vehicles, equipment and specialised tools.
Demonstrated physical capacity to perform manual labour in an outdoor environment.
Immunity to Hepatitis A and B (or willingness to obtain).
Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and the community.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and a medical assessment to confirm fitness for the role.
