What you will do?
Oversee daily operations, ensuring high-volume production meets quality standards for events and daily service
Deliver the highest of quality in pastry and producing showpiece desserts for special events
Support food safety protocols and maintain HACCP accreditation standards
Manage departmental budgets, controlling food costs, and coordinating with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients
Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef, Executive Chef and General Manager on menu development, addressing guest feedback, and resolving service-related issues
Lead kitchen operations, including menu development and preparation, cooking according to standards, and ensuring consistent quality and service standards, while fostering team development and motivation
More about you
Proven experience managing a pastry operation in a high-volume or premium restaurant environment
Strong business acumen to drive operational efficiency and profitability
Expertise in ordering and inventory management, including cost controls and invoice processing
Background in menu planning and design to elevate culinary offerings
Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, manage, and motivate a diverse pastry team
Formal qualifications in Patisserie, Commercial Cookery, or equivalent
Proficiency in business technology, including stock control systems, spreadsheets, and accounting software, is preferred
