Shape the Future of Arts and Culture in Melville
This is an exciting opportunity to join the City of Melville on a 6-month contract (0.8 FTE) to help deliver the City's landmark 50th Art Award and commemorative publication. With flexibility to work up to full-time hours, you will oversee key visual arts projects, support the City's Art and Public Art Collections, and work collaboratively with artists, stakeholders and the community to celebrate and strengthen Melville's cultural identity

What You'll Be Doing
Deliver the City of Melville's 50th Art Award program and exhibition
Lead the delivery of the City's Public Art Program.
Manage and support arts projects, special initiatives and cultural development activities.
Research and prepare grant funding submissions and sponsorship opportunities.
Build productive relationships with artists, community organisations, government agencies and industry stakeholders.
Contribute to the implementation of the City's cultural development objectives.
Provide expert advice on arts, public art and cultural development matters.
Support the development of policies, procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
You will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Arts, Arts Management or a related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience in arts management and public art project delivery.
Experience in delivering a local government public art award or similar
Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Experience preparing grant applications, funding submissions or sponsorship proposals.
Sound research, analytical and organisational skills.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.




A current C Class Driver's Licence and National Police Clearance.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt to existing structures and programs
